Some new and exciting developments to update you all on, the most notable being that we have now hit over 300 miles, woohoo!
We’ve been incredibly lucky to have hit some wonderful trail magic this week, so much so that we will probably be coming off trail with a larger waist band than how we started. We even got trail magic twice in one day! The world works in mysterious ways…

Later in the week, we enjoyed a wonderful spread of southern breakfast foods to partake of including egg casserole, bacon, sausage, corn muffins, coffee, orange juice and fruit salad!
Only four miles later, with our bellies still full, we ran into another group that was serving hot dogs, burgers, beer and treats of all varieties…
One of the most inspiring interactions we’ve had in the last week though was meeting Maggy and her daughter, Ruby. They were hiking along in the woods admiring the flora blooming around them as well as hunting for ramps, wild onion sprouts. Maggie even went to Central Bucks East, the same high school as Katniss! It’s a small world after all ☺️
And despite all odds, Katniss even found love in the small town of Erwin, Tennessee. Elusive though he may be (and hairy!) it’s a match for the ages.
And of course, there’s the silly everyday antics of the trail as well. The dancing, singing, hopping along the trail. I think we need a video of Peeta breaking it down next!
Not much else to say from here, outside of sending gratitude to everyone whose sent us well wishes and hugs from afar. Thank you for all of the support we’ve had from our various friends and family, we appreciate you all! More photos to enjoy below ☺️
